FULL DEVOTIONAL #1 — Rest for the Weary

Scripture:
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

There are days when the weight of life begins to feel overwhelming — days when your heart is tired, your mind is full, and your spirit feels stretched thin. The Lord sees those moments. He knows every quiet tear, every silent prayer, and every battle you fight when no one else notices.

Jesus extends an invitation so gentle, yet so powerful: come unto Me.
He doesn’t ask you to fix yourself first. He doesn’t ask you to be strong on your own.
He simply asks you to come.

True rest is not found in sleep, in distraction, or in trying to handle everything alone.
True rest is found in the presence of Christ.
It is a rest that settles deep into your soul — a peace that lifts the heaviness and lets your heart breathe again.

If today feels heavy, take a moment to whisper His name.
Let every burden fall into His hands.
He is your refuge, your comfort, and your rest.
And He promises: “I will give you rest.”

Prayer:
Lord, I place every burden before You. Give my heart Your peace, my mind Your calm, and my spirit Your rest. Amen.
